PERMA-HAND™ Suture, Black, Size 6-0, 18", with a G-6 Reverse Cutting Needle, is a sterile, nonabsorbable surgical suture composed of natural silk protein. The silk is derived from the Bombyx mori silkworm and undergoes a purification process to remove natural waxes and gums, resulting in a refined, biocompatible material suitable for surgical applications requiring extended wound support.

The suture is coated with a specially formulated wax mixture that enhances handling and ease of passage through tissue. This coating significantly reduces drag and improves knot placement while limiting fluid absorption, thereby minimizing capillarity and reducing the risk of bacterial migration along the strand.

The G-6 needle is a reverse cutting needle designed for use in tough or dense tissues such as skin. Its sharp edges on the outer curve allow for precise, controlled penetration with minimal trauma.
