PERMA-HAND™ Suture, Black, Size 5-0, 24", with RB-1 Needle, is a sterile nonabsorbable surgical suture composed of natural silk protein. The silk is derived from the domesticated Bombyx mori species and undergoes a meticulous refining process to remove natural waxes and gums, ensuring improved purity, flexibility, and tensile consistency for surgical use.

The suture is coated with a specially formulated wax mixture that enhances its handling properties and knot security. The coating minimizes the suture's capillarity without compromising pliability, offering smooth passage through tissue and ease of manipulation during suturing procedures. The braided construction provides added strength and tactile control.

Equipped with an RB-1 Taper Point Needle measuring 24 mm with a 1/2 circle curvature, this configuration is ideal for soft tissue approximation. The needle's gradual taper allows it to penetrate tissue without cutting, making it suitable for internal applications such as subcutaneous closures and general soft tissue procedures.
