The Surgicel Powder Absorbable Hemostat, 3 g, is a plant-based hemostatic agent designed for effective control of capillary, venous, and small arterial bleeding. Manufactured with proprietary oxidized regenerated cellulose (ORC) technology, it ensures high purity, consistency, and reliability in surgical use. Its powder formulation allows easy application in irregular or difficult-to-access anatomical sites, supporting efficient hemostasis across a range of surgical specialties.

This product is the first and only absorbable hemostat proven to be bactericidal against both gram-positive and gram-negative organisms. It has demonstrated efficacy against antibiotic-resistant strains including MRSA, VRE, PRSP, and MRSE.
